Cruise events at sea and the new Norwegian Luna

I have just been on board the very first voyage of the newest ship from Norwegian Cruise Line, the Norwegian Luna, and I must say I was genuinely impressed by its versatility.

The ship has just been delivered by Fincantieri in Italy and accommodates around 3,500 guests at double occupancy.

What struck me the most is that even though this is a large cruise ship, many of the public spaces feel surprisingly premium and intimate.

Deck 8 and the connection with the ocean

My favorite area was definitely Deck 8, especially the outdoor promenade.

There are beautiful lounge areas, infinity pools, and relaxed chill-out spaces where you feel connected to the ocean.

You can even enjoy Indulge, the refined food marketplace on board. I loved it for a lunch with a view or even for a naughty pre-dinner snack and drink.

And that is exactly what I love about cruising.

Much better than looking at the brown walls of a ballroom on deck minus one… if you want to create memorable moments, right?

Moments at sea that you do not plan

During this short Mediterranean voyage I even spotted dolphins and a whale from the ship. Unfortunately I did not have my camera ready… or maybe I was just dreaming of it.

But moments like this remind you how special the ocean can be.

When you are on a cruise, you just enter that ocean state of mind.

Outdoor energy and onboard experience

If you enjoy a bit more action, the outdoor activity area on Decks 17 and 18 offers plenty of fun and energy as well.

You can even try the Aqua Coaster, although it was a bit too chilly for me this time.

And of course I will not go through all the dining venues today. There are so many that I would need another cruise just to tell you about them.

Let’s just say that Norwegian Luna is one of those incredible ships that really feels like a resort at sea, great for any generation, and it can be a fantastic venue to host an event.

Cruise events at sea: charter or smaller group strategy

Now, a full charter of a ship of this size is certainly ambitious.

Although for very large events it is absolutely possible. Just think about music festivals or something really cool for a large community.

But what perhaps you might not realize is that you can also organize much smaller group events on board.

For example:

  • small leadership retreats

  • incentive programs

  • workshops with your community of Instagram followers

  • or private milestone celebrations like a 50th birthday or even a wedding

And if you are looking for something more exclusive, you can even consider a private buyout of The Haven, the beautiful luxury suite complex on board.

A ship within the ship, and a very special feature of Norwegian.

Why Norwegian Luna works for cruise events at sea

I really enjoy working with Norwegian Cruise Line because they have deep experience with events at sea, both large and small.

And if at this point you think it could be a good idea to host your event at sea, big or small, feel free to get in touch.

That is what I do.

I help you create unique memories.

Final thoughts: creating memorable moments at sea

Because in the end, life is about creating memorable moments.

We rarely remember the ordinary ones. We remember the special ones.

And I believe the ocean, and a cruise, can be the perfect memory generator.
